Hello May!
Where has the time gone? Hope you’ve all had a lovely long bank holiday weekend (if you live in the UK). It’s now officially spring and I’m feeling so ready for more sun, a tan (probably not, thanks to my Irish roots) and colours galore.
Now that the warmer, sunnier weather is upon us, it’s time to give your wardrobe a little refresh. I did a mini shop last week, swapping those dull, dark colours for pastels and bold, bright hues and I already feel a new lease of life (it sounds cringe I know). I’ve made a quest to not wear too much black this year and I’ve tried to ditch the black skinny jeans, so let’s see how it goes!
Despite the fact you’re giving your wardrobe a new burst of life, you really don’t have to spend a ridiculous amount of money on new clothes – a few items here and there will do the trick. Being on a tight budget myself, I only picked up a few tops, 2 pairs of trousers, a long-line summer jacket and a bright mini bag for under £50. If you shop in the right places, you can still get stunning pieces that are chic and stylish, without breaking the bank!
“think pink, red, orange and yellow”
Whether you want to be daring and go all-out with a bright coloured ensembles, or display pops of colour with accessories, such as bags and jewellery, it’s entirely up to you. I personally prefer to keep things safe, so I can easily mix and match my clothes to create as many different outfits as possible – important if you’re a student.
Here are some of my favourite picks for your spring wardrobes this spring/summer:
Mules

Bell Sleeves

Gingham

Pink

Stripes

P.S: Apologies for the lack of posts last week! My boyfriend went back to uni today and I wanted to make the most of our last week together. But don’t worry, you’ll have double the posts this week to make up for it! Promise X
