I created this blog in the latter stages of 2016, during the somewhat turbulent stages of my History and Politics undergraduate degree at Newcastle University. In short, writing was my therapy, as cliché as it sounds. Losing myself in writing and being creative helped me considerably to pass the time. It helped me stay grounded and was a platform to document my thoughts and feelings about University life, which I quickly found out was not for me. As a result, I took the courageous decision to leave, to focus on myself and my mental well-being, as well as pursue a passion of mine: writing.

After leaving, I committed myself to working hard on my blog. Leaving Newcastle University wasn’t an opportunity for me to sit on my derriere and do nothing. I put my all into growing my blog and working on my writing style, which was incredibly important if I wanted to become a content writer/journalist.

In my current job, I work in digital PR and content marketing, whereby on a daily basis I write content for a variety of brands, covering diverse sectors. I also freelance too, creating SEO-friendly content and website copy for a number of brands.
